💫 Seven years - A complete cycle 💫

Number Seven represents so many things in life and one of them is a complete cycle. Life is full of cycles indeed with its highs and lows. And as we enter another new cycle, I just want to remind myself of this simple moment that lead to what we have now.

Seven years ago this man happened to me.

A quiet moment sparked what our souls was longing for. I still remember the conversation I had with him that evening on a street bench stuffing our faces with durum kebab. "What criteria do you look for in a girl you would date?" I asked. "Sweet," he replied.

I asked him last night the same question. "Sweet" it was again. He definitely speaks a lot more to me now than a single word and I can also say I am not definitely Sweet all the time. But somehow he is stuck with me for life and I love doing life with him.

💫 5 MONTHS OLD 💫

I can suck my toes, scream very loud, run engines all the time with my mouth, spitting on parents is my favorite activity these days.😅

I really turn my head so much so I can follow Barney all the time! (Payback time!)
Pulling out my pacifier and putting it in again is another hobby these days... And I love to put everything in my mouth. ☺️

I stole my mom's sofa corner to sit. Yes! I can almost do it unassisted. Starting to do a bit of push-ups. This girl gotta train her muscles.🤸‍♀️

🧡 INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK 🧡
Sometimes holding Luna in my arms feels so surreal. My husband and I often pinch ourselves and do a reality check. As much as she brought so much joy into our lives and we were lucky enough to hold Elliot, the trauma of infertility still lingers.

It doesn't disappear - the diagnosis, the harmones, needles, ultrasounds, juggling work and appointments, the endless waiting, hope, heartbreaks and disappointments. When every pregnancy announcement and flashy baby photos stirs up every emotion in you. And when you want to catch a breath, the cycle repeats itself!

Covid just made everything worse! I had to go to appointments alone while Jeppe was on the video call from the parking lot. It stripped down the innocence and the intimacy of our relationship.

All these brought us Elliot and Luna into our lives for that I am forever grateful. But I know not everyone gets a baby after all these!

I really hope sharing our story will make people be a little more emphatic and that they will learn to stop with the "When are you going to have a baby?" Or "Any good news?"

I hope the world learns to respect that all path to parenthood is worthy.

If you recognize any of this, I am sending you huge hugs. I hope you know you are not alone. 💜🍍

We are loving this stage of her!

Mommy and daddy are shamelessly taking turns begging her for sloppy kisses all the time.

She loves to have lengthy chats with dad everyday after he comes back from work. (As if Mommy didn't exists in the morning!) 🙈

She laughs her heart out and can also scream into your face (definitely got that from me!! GUILTY!)

Always working on those abs trying to sit up..

Loves her goodnight song and sleeping bag.

Enjoys lifting and holding things and loves to take her pacifier out and sometimes in again!!

Loves to hug, hygge and sleep with her burp cloth. (What's with this burp cloth obsession 😅)

And showing a lot of personality(check my story)

Milk drunk, fresh diaper, sleeping bag, her goodnight song on and mommy or daddy hand to hold is the best way to fall asleep 🥰

💫 THE BIG 30 💫

7 years ago I was anxiously getting ready to do my one year internship in Denmark. 5 years ago, I wished and prayed hard that I would add "Mommy" title. 2 years ago, today was Elliot's due date and I hated this day. To celebrate me turning another year when he will never. Last year, I have just done my final round of fertility treatment and was so full of harmones, hopes and uncertainty, preparing myself for more heartbreaks.

I had a checklist for this day, the things I should have achieved by this number. Most of her doesn't exists today. If I would tap that little girl who made the list, I just want to tell her, "keep dreaming the same dreams and take every step you took just the way you did because all these will lead you to the many things. Things you didn't sign up for!"

"You will be in pieces and will be mend together. You will find a new place to call home. Your imperfect body would have birthed two beautiful children. There will be a man who loves you deeply, friends who will bring shovel when needed. And, and there is a dog!"

Though this life is incomplete and bittersweet, today, I m going to bed with something that I haven't felt in a very long time that I am finally able to breathe and smile from my heart.

And I would do everything I did, again and again if it brings me to the exact place I am tonight. Thank you God 💜
